if there are any riders within a days drive from tulsa, ok maybe we could take a truck to and from the ride. looking at forward air it's gonna cost me $450 each way just to ge my bike out there. i'd love to be able to save some money and have a support vehicle as well.

Rob,

My wife and I plan on hauling my scooter in a pick-up truck to SFO. She will follow us until Wichita. She is turing right at Wichita and heading for Tulsa. Following the CBR I plan on riding my scooter from Ocean City to Tulsa.

that's interesting, i was planning on shipping the scooter to SF and my father was going to follow me from st. louis to the end of the trip and put my scoot in a truck and drive it back to tulsa.

maybe there is a way we could share each others support along the way, where your wife could sag both of us for the first 6 days and my father could do the same on days 7 through 10.

also maybe we could help each other haul the bikes, if you could haul mine to SF i could haul yours from ocean city.

pm me or email me @ robonz23@yahoo.com

Rob,

I'm frequently between Sand Springs and Wichita. Let's meet and determine if both scooters fit in the bed of the pickup. If they do, then I'll be glad to transport your scooter to SFO.

As to riding to Oklahoma from Ocean City, MD, I just didn't have a way back to Oklahoma and didin't want to ship my scooter when I could drive it to Oklahoma much cheaper. We can talk about me joining you and your Dad later. You know, by the time we arrive at Ocean City I'll probably be begging you and your Dad for a ride to Oklahoma.

I hear Tulsa Scooters is sponsoring you in the CBR. Congratualations. I like that place. I purchased a 2007 Kymco People 200 S from them last August. At first I thought it was the best scooter ever. Then I started having problems with the carburetor, charging system, and ignition module. Since new the scooter has been in the shop 1 month of each 3 months having warranty work performed on the carburetor, stator, and ignition module. I have no complaints with Tulsa Scooters for they have been great and offered to perform the warranty work even though I supposedly had the warranty work performed in Wichita. The Wichita scooter dealer has bend over backwards trying to get the scooter to run as designed. I'd like to take the Kymco on the CBR but don't trust it. It is in the shop even as I write this screed.

I'm looking forward to this year's CBR. I had not heard of the CBR until I read an article in Tulsa's newspaper featuring you and your ambition to ride in this year's run. Doing a little research lead me to this website and finally signing up for the run on the last day of July. I'm having new tires and a new drive belt installed on the Reflex next week in preparation for next month's activity. I think you are running the scooter with the least displacement 125. Wow! The article said you were riding to local towns on weekends preparing for the CBR. How many miles are on your 125?

Let me know when we can meet for a size check of the pickup and the scooters.

Steve
