:D

My question is this. Is anyone going to ride back to the West Coast after the race or in a westerly direction? Am I the only crazy one to try?????

Smoothrider,

I'm Steve (svhess) living in Wichita, KS and Sand Springs, OK. I'm tenatively planning to ride as far as Tulsa, OK. Recently I've started a dialogue with Rob Taylor who lives in Tulsa. He and I are scheming about me hauling his scooter with mine to SFO (starting line). Rob tells me his Dad will be at the finish line with a pickup truck ready to load Rob's scooter and head for Tulsa. Rob mentioned me joining he and his Dad back to Tulsa in trade for me transporting his scooter to SFO. Nothing is firm and as I told Rob I might be begging he and his Dad for a spot in his Dad's truck. So, I guess I've said all that to say maybe I'll be riding as far as Tulsa. If your return route includes Tulsa I possibly could join you as far as Tulsa.

I a riding home to NYC after we all get to OC,MD.
If anyone lives north of the finish line, lets talk about riding. There are already two of us riding to NYC, with the support trck following as it needs to be returned to a brooklyn office.

I am still undecided as to what route I will take home. I would like to include a stop in Roseville Ohio and my cousins place in Columbus Indiana. The Blue Ridge Parkway would be tempting. Really not sure what I will do.

I rode the Blue Ridge Parkway down to AmeriVespa a few weeks ago and it was gorgeous. But it is really out of your way. My riding buddies rode east from Tahoe to meet me. A good compromise would be to ride Skyline Drive from Front Royal, VA south. It ends 105 miles later. You can head west from there. The scenery is better than most of the BRP anyway but you have to pay the $15 national park entry fee. A cheap thrill.

Thanks Bobo I will keep that in mind. On 1 of our motor home journeys we went part of the way down the Blue Ridge Parkway and I have always wanted to come back and do the entire route. We went on the Natchez Trace Parkway and it was awesome, it took about a week. Very easy to drive. Very relaxing. See you on the 10th.
